When team members work remotely in different countries, ensuring ownership of IPRs can be challenging. Remote IP Guard uses a three-staged approach to ensure maximum protection and ownership for our clients:

1. IPRs are transferred from the team members to Remote in accordance with local law and written employment agreements that are prepared by experienced local counsel from top tier law firms.

2. Remote’s intra-group agreements ensure that those IPRs are transferred to the Remote entity that enters into the Terms of Service with the client.

3. The IPRs are then transferred from Remote to the client in accordance with our Terms of Service.

As the Employer of Record (EOR), we take full responsibility for the transfer and we provide an indemnity that covers you if things were ever to go wrong.

Remote has also had its IPR transfer mechanism verified and approved by an external law firm for added validation.
